In this assignment, my group and I were tasked with creating an Ad campaign to bring awareness to the tragedy that is Food Deserts and the Non-Profit Food Empowerment Project. We wanted to give the viewer the understanding and feeling of what it would be like to be ‘Stranded’, stuck in an area with little to no access to nutritious food. With this in mind, we decided to take a more literal approach, showing the exaggerated food items cast into the desert, pouring out with dry sand. This feeling of being stranded is also reflected in our type choice. Using plenty of empty space around our headline and kerning out our type, so each letter has a feeling of isolation.
